Working mothers are exhausted. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of 2018, over 60% of households are dual-income where both parents work full-time. And when both parents work full-time, domestic duties and child-rearing disproportionately fall squarely on a working mother’s shoulders. Meanwhile, household chores are more evenly split compared to the homes of our parents/grandparents, but mental load or invisible work still ends up on mom’s plate.
